Dog Training Tips

"A dog needs structure, but that does not mean do the same thing with him every day. Do the unexpected - walk a different route, feed at a different time, change direction suddenly - this keeps the dog alert!

This builds you as his Center - he will want to stay in tune with you to find out what’s next!"

Embracing the Challenge

The training program is designed to establish clear, strong, and fair authority with your dog. I believe in setting new boundaries, enforcing stricter rules, and providing consequences for non-compliance to create lasting change in your dog's behavior.

With my program, you'll not only learn effective techniques to address aggression towards people or other dogs but also develop a deeper understanding of your dog's needs. I will guide you through each session, ensuring that you have the knowledge and skills to advocate for your dog in the best possible way.

I take aggression seriously because I care about the well-being of both you and your dog. By committing to this program, you're taking a proactive step towards a harmonious life with your dog and experience the joy of a balanced and fulfilling relationship with your dog. But first, let's establish a few important guidelines:

  1. Commitment to Correction: You are ready to address your dog's aggression head-on and actively work towards correcting it.
  2. Respect for Aggression: Recognize and acknowledge the seriousness of your dog's aggression, both to yourself, the public, and our team.
  3. Prioritize Safety: Your dog will be equipped with a bite-proof muzzle in all scenarios where there is even the slightest possibility of harm to other dogs or people. Safety always comes first.
  4. Preparedness: Arrive at each session fully prepared, with your dog already wearing a muzzle and all necessary training equipment.
  5. Alignment of Goals: Your focus should not solely be on removing the muzzle or eliminating training tools like e-collars or prongs. Instead, work towards establishing clear, strong, and fair authority over your dog.
  6. Embrace Change: Be open to transforming the way you live with your dog, how you perceive them, and how you advocate for their well-being.
  7. Education: Learn about behavior and aggression through references that your trainer referred you to and not social media so you can better understand your dog’s needs and triggers.
  8. Safety: : Maintain a safe and controlled environment for your dog by minimizing her exposure to situations that may trigger aggression until we have reached the part of the training program that involves working closer to triggers.
  9. Openness: Ready to transform your dogs' behavior by identifying old habits and embracing change with an open mind.

With this program, you'll receive expert guidance and support to help you navigate these precepts successfully. Together, we can create a safe and harmonious environment for both you and your dog.
