{"id":352,"date":"2011-07-19T03:24:25","date_gmt":"2011-07-19T03:24:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/causeandeffectdogtraining.com\/blog\/?p=352"},"modified":"2011-07-19T05:46:37","modified_gmt":"2011-07-19T05:46:37","slug":"the-love-of-my-life-happened-to-be-a-rottweiler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/causeandeffectdogtraining.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/19\/the-love-of-my-life-happened-to-be-a-rottweiler\/","title":{"rendered":"The Love of my Life happened to be a Rottweiler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/causeandeffectdogtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/P1010127.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-361\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/causeandeffectdogtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/P1010127-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/causeandeffectdogtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/P1010127-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/causeandeffectdogtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/P1010127-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>and because of this- I need to be around people who &#8220;get it&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0 I am feeling a bit lost with friends that don&#8217;t quite know what to do with my continued grief.\u00a0 They certainly don&#8217;t need to say something perfect to get me over it.\u00a0 That ain&#8217;t gonna happen.\u00a0 I just want them to know there is this gaping hole that is ever present and I am not going to be myself for some time..How much time?\u00a0 who knows, maybe years&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This is a quote I resonate with right now:\u00a0 &#8221;\u00a0 Dead: The act of goneness, an incomprehensible\u00a0 event that leaves me mute&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0 I am truly humbled by this process of grief.\u00a0 It has forever changed me.\u00a0 The change has no label or explanation yet..it is just so apparent to me that I am no longer the woman I was 4 months ago.<\/p>\n<p>Because of this monumental shift in my perception of Life- I am going to a pet loss support group tomorrow.\u00a0 I wonder who will be there, what stories will be shared,\u00a0 how many tears can fill a room.\u00a0 I just want to tell someone that knows- our story.\u00a0 The love affair between my boy and I.\u00a0 It may sound cynical to say to you reading this- but I am quite sure- that this Love is my Love of a Lifetime.\u00a0 It penetrated my wounded heart and healed it.\u00a0\u00a0 Benjamin convinced me that Love is possible, trust is possible,\u00a0 healing is possible,\u00a0\u00a0 Everything is possible when Authentic Nature is the force behind Relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin showed me that I don&#8217;t have to be anyone else but myself. I\u00a0 don&#8217;t have to hide behind a mask or walk on eggshells or tell stories to keep your interest.
