My heart drives me to dog rescue. It is a path that I did not choose, my heart did. I especially feel connected to those dogs that have suffered by the hands of the ignorant- backyard dogs, dogs abandoned by their owners in shelters, or dogs from the street looking for a warm home. I will rescue any dog that crosses my path and tells me with his eyes "I need help". I especially feel a deep connection to the Pit Bull breed. The most misrepresented and maligned breed today. I live with two. I understand the breed. They resonate with my heart. Perhaps a bit tough looking on the outside, and pure love and devotion within.
